Program Overview
Kang Yatse II, the impressive western peak of the Kang Yatse mountain, rises majestically at 6,250 meters above sea level in the heart of Ladakh’s Markha Valley. The peak, with its sharp, pyramid-shaped silhouette, is not only a striking natural wonder but also a gateway to Hemis National Park, a sanctuary teeming with Himalayan wildlife like snow leopards, argali sheep, and mountain deer.
Unlike some of the more technical Himalayan climbs, Kang Yatse II offers an accessible yet exhilarating challenge. It’s ideal for trekkers who are ready to push their limits and prepare for more difficult expeditions in the future. With no technical mountaineering experience required, this trek is the perfect blend of adventure and natural beauty. Over the course of 12 days, trekkers will navigate rugged terrain, green meadows, and breathtaking views, ultimately reaching a summit that offers panoramic vistas of iconic peaks like Broad Peak, Gasherbrum Massif, and others in the north, as well as Nun Kun and Zanskar Peak to the west.
