Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (9,100 ft) Trek Distance: ~4 km

Overview: Gradual ascent through dense pine and oak forests. Cross open meadows and spot small streams.

Reach Juda Ka Talab, a tranquil lake that freezes in winter. Stay: Campsite near the lake.

Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,250 ft) Trek Distance: ~4 km

Duration: 3–4 hours Trail

Overview:  Easy ascent through a mix of forests and clearings.

Snow-covered meadows during winter with panoramic mountain views.

Reach the base camp with a direct view of Kedarkantha Peak. Stay: Campsite at the base camp.

Highlights: Enjoy the mesmerizing sunset over the surrounding peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Kala Nag.

Summit Kedarkantha (12,500 ft) and descend to Hargaon (8,900 ft) Trek

Distance: ~6 km

Duration: 6–7 hours Trail

Overview:  Start early (~4 AM) to reach the summit in time for sunrise. Steep climb over snow-covered ridges and rocky patches.

After enjoying the summit views, descend back to Hargaon through forest trails. Stay: Campsite at Hargaon.

Highlights: Breathtaking sunrise with views of the Himalayas (Yamunotri, Gangotri ranges). A sense of achievement upon reaching the summit.

Hargaon to Sankri

Trek Distance: ~5 km

Duration: 4–5 hours

Trail Overview: Descend gradually through pine forests and small streams. Reach Sankri by afternoon.

Stay: Guesthouse or homestay in Sankri.

Highlights: Relax and reflect on your journey in the charming Sankri village.

Drive from Sankri to Dehradun

Distance: ~200 km

Duration: 8–10 hours

Highlights:  Scenic drive through the same picturesque route.
