Program Overview
Mount Yunam, standing at an impressive 6,111 meters, is one of the most sought-after peaks in Himachal Pradesh. It offers a perfect alternative to the more crowded Mt. Kang Yatse II and is an excellent choice for trekkers aspiring to climb their first 6,000M peak. The expedition requires good physical fitness and prior trekking experience at 4,000M or above but does not demand a formal mountaineering course.
Throughout this journey, you will traverse through breathtaking landscapes, including the serene alpine lakes of Deepak Tal and Suraj Tal, the high-altitude passes of Rohtang Pass and Baralacha La, and the rugged beauty of the Lahaul and Zanskar Ranges. The climb itself involves trekking through glacial moraine, rock patches, and snowfields, leading to a spectacular summit view of the Chandra Bhaga (C.B.) and Mulkilla ranges.
